Our altered version of Woman Holding a Balance, by Johannes Vermeer

  1. The painting on the wall is by Jackson Pollock, and was painted in the 1950's, almost 300 years after Vermeer painted his original.
  2. She has a digital clock on her wall - again, an item that would not have existed in 1634.
  3. She has a Calvin Klein logo on her sleeve - not exactly available at the clothing stores in these days.
  4. She has her hand on a Hot Wheels Matchbox car - another 20th Century invention not around 300 years ago.
  5. There's a Puma high top sneaker on the ground behind her - a style of footwear not worn by this woman.
  6. And here's the original, so you can see the real thing!
