Information about Artsology for Teachers and Parents

Artsology believes in the importance of cultural awareness for children, not only for personal enrichment, but also for its historical relevance and hopefully for its inspirational qualities. When children are not exposed to the arts, our cultural heritage goes unseen, un-heard, unread, unstudied, and unlearned. The goal of Artsology is to be a starting point, an introduction to the arts, a way to spark curiosity, through fun games and investigations.

Over the years, we've seen that more and more schools throughout the United States are utilizing Artsology in the classroom, as well as homeschooling parents using it with their children. We'd like to open up more of a dialogue with teachers and parents, and would love your feedback on what we can do better or other features you might like to see.

Our friends at Americans for the Arts have generously allowed us to share some important facts that they have assembled, such as:

  • The arts teach kids to be more tolerant and open.
  • The arts allow kids to express themselves creatively.
  • The arts promote individuality, bolster self-confidence, and improve overall academic performance.
  • The arts can help troubled youth, providing an alternative to delinquent behavior and truancy while providing an improved attitude towards school.
