Have you heard of the Chalk Walk fest in Texas?

Post by heart_ofvoh »

I just stumbled upon this amazing event that happens every year in Round Rock, Texas. It’s called the Round Rock Arts Fest and Chalk Walk, and it’s a free festival that features hundreds of chalk artists, musicians according to their website. It sounds like a lot of fun to see and witness artists creating beautiful chalk murals on the pavement. I checked out their photos and I was blown away by some of the artwork. My favorite one was this bee-related art by Lela Thornhill. Something about it evokes feelings–the bees sting and then eating her up is like a representation of something that struggles her from fully being herself. Or it can mean that pain is part of her. What do you think? And what do you think of this event? Have you ever been there or seen something like it? Do you like chalk art in general? I always had an affinity for chalk arts. Too bad I was living too far from Texas.
