Recipes and Art History: Artsology Brownies

From our series of favorite recipes from the Artsology kitchen, paired with a work of art. Gain appreciation of art history while making (and eating) great food!


Ingredients:

3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
1 square of baking chocolate, melted

Instructions:

Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl and make a well in the middle. Pour in oil, beaten eggs, vanilla, and melted baking chocolate. Beat together and then stir in the chocolate chips. Pour final mixture into a greased 8 inch baking pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Check whether it is done by poking a toothpick or fork into the middle and see if it comes out relatively clean.
