I was visiting a farmers’ market in Piermont, NY not too long ago, when I noticed these unusual tomatoes. I had to take some pictures, because I saw some potential here … scroll down for more.
Seeing these tomatoes made me think of a favorite artist, Giuseppe Arcimboldo, whom I’ve covered in the past (see here, and here, among other places on the site). The suggestion of “lips” on the tomato above left was obvious, but I also saw what looked like other facial features, including eyes, a nose, and ears.
