Events and exhibitions at the Montclair Art Museum

I received a press release from the Montclair Art Museum today with information about an upcoming event called “ART Uncorked and Winter Market at MAM,” which takes place on December 11, 2021, from 4:00-8:00 PM. ART Uncorked will feature a silent auction of high quality affordable art works, a winter market of gift vendors, champagne tasting with hors d’oeuvres, and music played by “a notable DJ.” I wish I could get a preview of the affordable art works that they will auction, or more information on the vendors, but perhaps they want to keep me curious so that I’ll find out by attending!

I was recently at the Montclair Art Museum to see their current exhibition “Color Riot! How Color Changed Navajo Textiles,” which remains open through January 2, 2022. As you can see in the installation view below right, the bold colors and gorgeous textiles make for a show that shouldn’t be missed – I’m tempted to go back and see it a second time!
