With Fiona Rae in the studio

This video is from the Tate Museum’s series called “Artist Interviews,” and features a look inside the studio of painter Fiona Rae. For someone who is used to working small and with a standard-sized palette, what strikes me first in this video is watching Rae squeeze out a big glob of paint onto her “eight foot long palette,” which is basically a whole table! I always love getting a view inside the studio of other artists to see how they work, and this video does a great job letting us go behind the scenes:
