Somebody ate the street art pizza slice by Space Invader

I was driving into Jersey City the other day and noticed these remnants of what used to be a street art tile pizza slice on the side of building along Route 139 near the entrance to the Holland Tunnel. The current (and unfortunate) state of this piece leads to the visual suggestion that someone ate the slice of pizza.

The original street art work is by “Space Invader,” which is the pseudonym of a French artist whose style is based on the simple pixellation of 1970s-1980s video games. You can see what it originally looked like here. Learn more about Invader on his official website or follow him on Instagram.
