Break dancing battles in armor at The Met

The Metropolitan Museum Art has been hosting a series titled “Battle! Hip-Hop in Armor,” featuring break dancers from “It’s Showtime NYC!,” a group from Dancing in the Streets who “battle” wearing replica armor from The Met’s Arms and Armor department.

The Met’s program combines the idea of a dance battle with ancient combat and actually takes place within the museum’s Arms and Armor Court gallery.

The next performance at The Met will be Friday, March 22nd, from 5-8pm, and is included in the museum’s general admission. Check out the video below, and click here for more information from The Met.
