An aspiring Cy Twombly?

I was looking at a condo yesterday, and my first clue that there used to be a little kid who lived there came from the security gates that were installed near the stairs. But as I looked around some more, it would seem this little kid is an aspiring Cy Twombly as well: there was a “wall drawing” in the closet, below left, and a quick masterpiece dashed off on the window sill, below right. To be honest, I’m a little surprised that the condo owner (or real estate agent involved) wouldn’t put in a little effort to clean these scribbles up before showing the condo for sale, but it is what it is. If you’re not familiar with Cy Twombly or wonder why I’m making this reference, scroll down to see a pair of his art works.

Here are two art works by Cy Twombly (1928-2011). Below left is “Untitled” from 1964, and below right is “Leda and the Swan” from 1962. This second painting, a 6 x 6 foot canvas, was part of a Cy Twombly retrospective at MoMA in 1994.
