Architecture that leans

I’ve never been to the Leaning Tower of Pisa (below left), and hope to someday get a chance to visit this famous site. But in the meantime, I have the option to buy the Leaning Home of Clifton (NJ), as you can see below right. As I’ve been looking around for a place to live, I’ve seen some interesting things, but this particular real estate photo brought a few laughs. I get it – the house is on a steep hill, but if you’re the real estate agent taking the photos, wouldn’t you try to make the house look straight? Who knows … maybe the soil on the right side has some soft spots and this one is shifting just like the Leaning Tower of Pisa?

The Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Leaning Home of Clifton

I guess if one is going to live in the Leaning House of Clifton, some custom dishes might be in order. Thankfully, there’s the American Metalcraft “Endurance Bowl,” which has a raised side. It’s perfect for this house, because then you can have your breakfast cereal and not worry about it spilling over the edge, as long as you have the tall edge facing down, as we’ve helpfully depicted below.
