She looks familiar … a Monet painting brought to life

Look at this sculpture of a woman on a hill, holding an umbrella (below left) … if she looks familiar, it’s because she’s based on Monet’s famous painting La Promenade, from 1875, as seen below right. The sculpture is by J. Seward Johnson and can be seen with other art history-inspired sculptures at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ.
