There’s a tidal wave in Brooklyn

When we were checking out the art galleries in Williamsburg (Brooklyn, NY) this past fall, we happened upon a show of sculptures by Adam Niklewicz at the Black & White Gallery on Driggs Avenue. Our favorite piece was this one pictured below, titled “Wave.” We loved the way that the oriental rug came to life, with its fringe acting as the edge of the curling wave ready to break.

Our question is: if you were an art collector and you bought this piece, most likely you would need to display it in your home on your floor. But how would you insure that no one accidently stepped on it?
