Virtual Graffiti

I was just with the kids at The Liberty Science Center in New Jersey, which has a “virtual graffiti” exhibit. The kids can approach a large screen monitor which depicts a brick wall background, and then pick up the “spray can” controller which allows them to select colors and then press the button to “paint” on the virtual brick wall. We thought this was a pretty cool exhibit, but wonder, does it encourage kids to consider real graffiti? What do you think?
