Love that hat!

spanish hat worn by stewardesses on Air California in the 1960's

Believe it or not, stewardesses on Air California airplanes used to wear these hats in the 1960’s. The airline was trying to have Mexican-inspired clothing to reflect California’s Spanish heritage while also having 1960’s style. I would think the stewardess would get tired pretty quickly of seeing these little red fuzzy balls bouncing around in front of their eyes all day! (as seen at the Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C.)
