Radical fashion … maybe not, someone else did it 74 years ago.

Saw a photograph from a fashion collection being released this fall which features a high-heel shoe lined with rabbit fur. At first glance, it seems like an outrageous and original idea … except a surrealist artist, Meret Oppenheim, created a “fur breakfast” sculpture in 1936, which is now in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. Sometimes the distance of a few decades can make an idea seem brand new all over again.
