James Ensor would have had fun at the World Cup

painting by James EnsorJames Ensor (1860-1949) was a Belgian painter known for his paintings of bizarre crowd scenes, featuring masks, puppets, skeltons, and other unusual characters.  Pictured at right is one of his paintings, which includes his self portrait (the man in the red hat).
