A "bezier curve" is a parametric curve, which can be defined as a geometric object made up of various points. Bezier curves are named after Pierre Bézier, who used it in the 1960s for designing curves for the bodywork of Renault cars. In this case, we're going to use bezier curves in order to make interactive art works!
Please note: this game works best on desktops and laptops. You can still play on a mobile device, one just needs to tap in the colored background section first in order to then tap again to add or delete the circular points. Also, if you're more mathematically-inclined than I am and want to see a better definition of these terms, learn more about bezier curves here and more about parametric curves here.
Instructions: Click "Play" to see the bezier curves get drawn between the points on the screen. You can click-to-hold and move the points anywhere in the green field, or you can double-click anywhere - on a current point to destroy it, or in the green field to create a new one. Experiment with changing things and click "Play" each time you want to see your new artistic creation!
Below are some screenshots of different bezier art works we created using this interactive art tool. As you can see, the possibilities are endless!
